Level 1 Course Description
Age Group: Years 3 & 4.
Duration: Two 2 hour sessions running over a two day period.
Group Size: The children are taken out in groups of 10 (maximum) and are accompanied by two Nationally Accredited Instructors. We can run two groups per day, therefore 20 children per week.
Outcomes: The children cover National Standards Level 1
Location: Level 1 training is playground based. The area is risk assessed by an instructor prior to use.
Course Structure
These courses aimed to get children enjoying cycling and giving them the basic skills to develop into future on road cyclists.
Session 1: Trainees bikes are adjusted with the children watching and learning. Helmets are fitted. Level 1 Training commences
Session 2: Level 1 Training is continued completed. The training is all based around the National Standards incorporating as many games as possible.
Post Session: Feedback and Bikeability Certificates distributed.
