For anyone already working in the cycle industry that wants a recognised qualification, those looking to joining the trade or home mechanics keen to take their skills to the next level. We emphasize a great deal of hands-on experience during both practical and knowledge-based units covering the following tasks:

  • Workshop induction, health & safety
  • Repair a puncture
  • Remove and replace a rim brake system
  • Carry out a systematic check
  • Remove and replace gear systems
  • Remove and replace hub bearings
  • Remove and replace bottom brackets and cranks
  • Build a cycle wheel
  • Prepare frames and forks
  • Fitting accessories
  • Change a frame
  • Remove and replace headsets

Assessment only courses are also available for anyone already working in the cycle industry that wants a recognised qualification. This course is designed for competent bike mechanics, contact us for more details.
