Festive Led Ride starting and finishing at the Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre with complimentary Coffee & Cake

Join our Festive guided ride starting and finishing at Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre.
Following the national cycle route 136 through the beautiful Ingrebourne Hill, riding up the gravel path to Berwick Pond Woods across the road into Bonnets Woods with views towards London through to Parklands Open Space with a beautiful lake and folly bridge originally
belonging to Harwood Hall, now Oakfields School.  We will continue through the backroads of Upminster, enjoying the Christmas decorations, returning to the 136 Cycle route alongside the river Ingrebourne spotting the local nature, and return to the Visitor Centre for a lovely complimentary coffee & cake to finish off the ride.

There are toilets and a shop in the visitor centre.

This route is suitable for all bikes apart from road bikes. Bikes with gears are recommended.
A responsible adult must accompany children. Not recommended for under eights unless with a good riding history.  Children aged eight and over should be able to ride to Bikeabiity level 1 standard (ride in a straight line with one hand if needed, turn corners, look behind while riding forward, use gears, set pedal, understand brake use).
The ride will be up to six miles and will be paced at the speed of the most relaxed rider. No one gets left behind.
We will be riding mostly off road but crossing some busy roads as well as some quite back roads. Some sections will be on unkept paths. Bright clothing recommended and helmets essential for all.
Winter weather suggests gloves and warm light layers – please check weather.
Festive outfits and decorating your bike would be great making sure it doesn’t catch on the bike's moving parts.

Please use this handy guide to check your bike is in good order: https://lcc.org.uk/advice/bike-safety-check/

Riders can join at any point and instructors will share live locations on the day via WhatsApp. Should you not wish to be part of the WhatsApp group please state so when registering.
